Knowing what to pack into your hospital bag can be hard if you are a first time parent. Everyone you ask will have a different take on what their own essential items were. What you need can depend on your hospital facilities and what they provide, where your hospital is located, who you have to support you, and a number of other factors.Ā
So where do you start? Here are some of the items that the team at DBHQ all agreed should be in your bag.

Whilst some plastic bags can be recycled, the number one way to reduce the impact of single-use plastic on the environment and our beautiful Earth is to use reusable alternatives. Designer Bums Wet Bags are the perfect alternative in any situation where you would otherwise use a plastic bag and are an easy switch to make with a big impact on the environment. With large companies making the decision to phase out the use of purchasable plastic shopping bags now is the time to stock up on a reusable alternative.
Many families want to reduce their reliance on single use products but are unsure where to start. The good news is that this is not an all or nothing approach, and there are many small changes that you can make that will have an immediate impact on how many single use items are going into landfill. You might find that you need to make a larger initial financial outlay when purchasing reusable products, but this pays off in the long run as these products can be re-used and upcycled reducing the need to make any ongoing purchases.Ā

For Gigi Villaverde, a career in graphic design and illustration started with a need for self-expression. As a child, she loved painting and drawing the things around her. As she got older, that love grew into wanting to create pieces of design that would be beautiful and functional for other people as well as herself. She decided to study graphic design, but her love for patterns came after signing up for a course in stamping technique. Her curiosity for how an illustration could be repeated indefinitely and applied to any surface, made her realise that making people happy by embellishing everyday items with illustration was her true calling.

At Designer Bums, we think that the most important detail when using modern cloth nappies (MCN) is to get the right fit. This will ensure that your nappy gives you good performance, your inserts will do their job effectively and the nappy is comfortable for your child. Cloth nappies have a reputation for being very bulky but compared with other brands, Designer Bums ART POP All in 2 nappies are very trim and sit just like regular underwear.
These mats are wonderful. We love the supersize scale of the mat, it covers our couch well. Perfect for when our child is feeling unwell but will also protect the couch from day to day crumbs and things. Iām sure it will occasionally get used as a picnic mat too, but we wish we had got one of these sooner as it is harder to cover the couch consistently with the round mats. Kids are so messy! Thanks DB! Fabulous quality as usual. So reliable.
